Join us this July for a hands-on 8-session workshop on Computational Design, Environmental Simulation, and Digital Fabrication.

Held every Monday, Wednesday & Friday evening starting July 7.

🧩 Track 1: Computational Design & Digital Fabrication

(4 Sessions – Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 6:00–9:00 PM)

  • Session 1 – Monday, July 7
    Computational Design with Grasshopper – Concepts & Logic
    Understanding parametric thinking, and design workflows.
  • Session 2 – Wednesday, July 9
    Advanced Computational Design – Components & Design Systems
    Working with geometry, data trees, attractors, and modular logic in architecture.
  • Session 3 – Friday, July 11
    Kangaroo Physics & Form-Finding Strategies fundamentals
    Using Kangaroo for dynamic simulation, tension/compression, and responsive forms.
  • Session 4 – Monday, July 14
    Digital Fabrication, 3D Printing & Robotics Fundamentals
    Subtractive additive manufacturing concepts including G-code, CNC, 3d printing & robotics overview.

🌀 Track 2: Environmental Simulation & Energy Modeling

(4 Sessions – Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 6:00–9:00 PM)

  • Session 5 – Wednesday, July 16
    Introduction to Computational Environmental Design
    Theoretical overview, Climate-based design, solar radiation, orientation strategies using Ladybug.
  • Session 6 – Friday, July 18
    Energy Modeling with Ladybug
    Thermal zones, envelope systems, Kinetic sunshades facade, and preparing for energy simulation.
  • Session 7 – Monday, July 21
    Energy Modeling with Honeybee – Part 2
    Running simulations, EUI, visualizing results, and interpreting energy data.
  • Session 8 – Wednesday, July 23
    Integrated Sustainability Design Strategies
    Daylight autonomy, Thermal comfort, performance-driven design
